Palworld v1.0.3 drops the Aquatic Construction Kit 43 levels, plus 12 more balance changes

Pocketpair shipped v1.0.3 on August 12, 2026. No new Pals, no new area: 13 balance changes and 31 bug fixes.
Two technologies moved down the tree
| Technology | Before | v1.0.3 |
|---|---|---|
| Aquatic Construction Kit | Lv66 (4 ancient points) | Lv23 (1 ancient point) |
| Jetragon Statue | Lv79 | Lv70 |
| Jetragon’s Missile Launcher | Lv79 | Lv70 |
The Aquatic Construction Kit fell 43 levels. Pocketpair also cut its materials and work amount, so a technology nobody touched before the endgame now sits in the low twenties. We broke that one down in the Aquatic Construction Kit guide.
The notes say “some Jetragon-related technologies”, without naming them. Our technology data holds two, and paldb.cc shows both at Lv70 now. The Missile Launcher doubles as the Pal Gear you need to ride Jetragon, and its recipe changed too.
| Missile Launcher materials | Before | v1.0.3 |
|---|---|---|
| Leather | 70 | 70 |
| Ingot | Paloxite Ingot 60 | Soralite Ingot 48 |
| AI Core | 24 | 12 |
| Paldium Fragment | 210 | 210 |
The ingot swap matters more than the counts. Paloxite Ingot smelts from Soralite 1, Paloxite 2 and World Tree Holy Water 1, and you cannot even mine Paloxite without drinking the Holy Water first. Soralite Ingot takes Soralite 2 and Pure Quartz 2, with nothing from the World Tree in it (our item data). Jetragon’s Pal Gear moved out of the final area.
Five of the nine item changes are Holy Water
- Longer buff duration
- Weight down from 1 to 0.1
- Added to the rewards for World Tree expeditions, World Tree fishing and the Large Fishing Pond
- More of it from Pals in the World Tree area
- More of it from Teafant Spring
One Awakening Crystal costs 10 Holy Water, so you carry stacks of the stuff. Cutting the weight to a tenth is the change you will feel.
The other four item changes:
- Adjusted the work amount for crafting the Ancient Armor series
- Doubled the Fiber you get from trees
- The Jetragon technologies and Pal Gear above
- The Aquatic Construction Kit above
Double Fiber sounds small. Fiber runs out from your first hour to your last, so it isn’t.
Oil and power got cheaper
Pocketpair wrote “reduced” without numbers, so we checked the counts against paldb.cc, which has updated to v1.0.3.
| Structure | Before | v1.0.3 |
|---|---|---|
| Crude Oil Extractor | Pal Metal Ingot 250, Circuit Board 50 | 125, 25 |
| High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor | 300, 50, Bio Battery 50, Ancient Civilization Parts 10 | 150, 25, 25, 10 |
| Large Power Generator | Pal Metal Ingot 200, Electric Organ 200 | 150, 150 |
Both extractors also pump faster. The third oil change is the practical one: the base mission that asks you to build a Crude Oil Extractor now accepts the High-Pressure version, so anyone who built a base away from an oil field can finally clear it.
Server admins get one new setting, bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp, which turns off the suppression of enemy camps near player bases.
31 bug fixes
The ones with teeth:
- Items could duplicate when you performed certain actions
- Removing the barrier in Sunreach before accepting the main mission could block progression
- Summoned Pals stopped fighting, or stopped helping with base work
- Some raid boss fights did not progress as intended
- Moon Lord’s normal and Ultra Raid rewards were set wrong
- Alpha Surfent produced no Leather in a Ranch
- Resolution settings did not apply in fullscreen
The rest cover co-op lighting after cutscenes, Fast Travel firing during tower boss fights on dedicated servers, stair placement on foundations, and the BGM range for Attack Choppers.
Worth updating for
This patch clears blockages rather than adding anything. The Aquatic Construction Kit move is the one with real reach: a technology most players read about and never built now lands while you are still picking your second and third base sites.
Nothing here brings a lapsed player back. If you are mid-playthrough, the lighter Holy Water and the doubled Fiber will show up in your next session, and the duplication fix closes an exploit that was going around.
Our technology point breakdown covers how the ancient tree is priced, and early technology priorities covers what to unlock before any of this.
