Palworld Skill Fruits Top Out at 700 Power, but Six Moves Are Locked to One Pal

A skill fruit eats a farm slot and real playtime, so finding out afterward that your target move was never teachable this way stings. Our skill data covers all 312 active moves in Palworld 1.0, and the ceiling holds firm: 700 power, no exceptions.
What skill fruits actually cover
| Count | |
|---|---|
| Active skills, total | 312 |
| Have a skill fruit | 93 |
| Inheritable through breeding | 103 |
| Neither (exclusive to one Pal) | 208 |
Two out of three active moves belong to a single Pal and never leave it. Skill fruits open up the remaining third.
That 93 count matches redfreshet’s own tally of Palworld’s skill fruits. Our item catalog lists only 92, missing the fruit for Psycho Gravity; the skill-side figure of 93 is the one used throughout this guide.
The 700-power ceiling
Everything a skill fruit can teach at 600 power or above fits in one table.
| Move | Element | Power | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holy Burst | Neutral | 700 | 30 |
| Absolute Frost | Ice | 700 | 30 |
| Psycho Gravity | Dark | 700 | 30 |
| Wind Burst | Grass | 600 | 30 |
| Thunderstorm | Electric | 600 | 30 |
| Rocky Impact | Ground | 600 | 30 |
| Diamond Rain | Ice | 600 | 30 |
| Dark Whisp | Dark | 600 | 30 |
| Dragon Meteor | Dragon | 600 | 30 |
| Fire Ball | Fire | 600 | 30 |
| Geyser Gush | Water | 600 | 30 |
The ceiling sits at 700, and only Neutral, Ice and Dark reach it. Every other element caps at 600.
Holy Burst got bumped up to 700 power in the 1.0 update. GameWith notes its wide hit area suits large targets like raid bosses.
Same-element damage bonuses still matter, but the gap between 700 and 600 power runs wide enough that a Dragon or Fire Pal carrying a 600-power move sometimes loses out to a Neutral attacker running Holy Burst instead. Check specific matchups on the element chart.
Moves a skill fruit can never touch
Six active moves clear 800 power. Five of them sit outside the system entirely, no fruit, no inheritance.
| Move | Power | Breeding inheritance |
|---|---|---|
| Megaton Implode | 1200 | Yes |
| Sacred Rain | 800 | No |
| Royal Step | 800 | No |
| Aqua Tornado | 800 | No |
| Spore Burst | 800 | No |
| Toxic Dance | 800 | No |
Want an 800-power move on your team? Catch the Pal that learns it natively, or breed one. Buying out every skill fruit farm in the game will not get you there.
Megaton Implode is the outlier. It tops the whole list at 1200 power and, unlike the five 800-power moves above it, breeding can pass it down. The name gives away why you will not run it often: it is a self-destruct move.
How inheritance and skill fruits line up
Of the 103 moves inheritable through breeding, 92 also exist as a skill fruit. The two systems mostly agree.
Eleven moves break that pattern. They inherit through breeding but never show up as a fruit. Megaton Implode is one; Radiant Barrage (700), Double Blizzard Spike (700) and Meteorain (700) round out the rest. None of these are farmable as fruits, so breeding a parent that already knows the move is the only way in.
See how breeding inheritance actually works on our breeding calculator, sort out which passives are worth chasing in our passive skill guide, and look up any Pal’s full move list on the skill tool.
Skill fruits are not the only path to a strong moveset, either. Pair one with the moves your Pals learn just by leveling up, then weigh the pick against cooldown-adjusted damage per second before you spend a farm slot on it.
Summary
- Skill fruits teach 93 of 312 active moves; the remaining 208 are locked to one Pal
- The skill fruit power ceiling is 700, reached only by Neutral, Ice and Dark moves
- Six moves clear 800 power; five of them cannot be taught or inherited at all
- Megaton Implode, at 1200 power, is the one high-power move breeding can pass down
Check what a move actually teaches before you spend a fruit chasing it. Some of the strongest options were never on the list.
FAQ
- How many moves can skill fruits teach in Palworld?
- 93 of Palworld's 312 active skills, according to our skill data. The other 208 moves belong to a single Pal and cannot be taught with a fruit or picked up through breeding.
- What's the highest-power move you can teach with a skill fruit?
- Three moves cap the system at 700 power: Holy Burst (Neutral), Absolute Frost (Ice) and Psycho Gravity (Dark). All three run a 30-second cooldown.
- Can I use a skill fruit to teach an 800-power move?
- No. Palworld's six moves at 800 power or higher sit outside the skill fruit system. Sacred Rain, Royal Step, Aqua Tornado, Spore Burst and Toxic Dance cannot even be inherited through breeding. Megaton Implode, at 1200 power, is the exception you can pass down by breeding, though no fruit teaches it either.
- What's the difference between breeding inheritance and skill fruits?
- They mostly overlap. Of the 103 moves inheritable through breeding, 92 also exist as a skill fruit, per our skill data. Eleven moves, Megaton Implode among them, pass down only through breeding and never show up as a fruit.
