“Strongest Pal” depends on which number you’re reading. We sorted our Paldex data (299 Pals) by each stat, and overall and attack landed on two different Pals.

Overall stat rankings

Add attack, defense, and HP together (HP divided by 10 to keep the scale even) and this is the order you get.

Rank Pal Attack Defense HP Element
1 Panthalus 120 200 180 Water
2 Frostallion Noct 140 135 140 Dark
3 Neptilius 145 125 105 Water
4 Paladius 120 145 130 Normal
5 Necromus 145 120 130 Dark
6 Aegidron 125 140 105 Dragon/Earth
7 Frostallion 140 120 140 Ice
8 Jetragon 140 120 115 Dragon

Panthalus sits ahead of the field on defense and HP alone. Its 120 attack is unremarkable among this group, so it earns the top slot by absorbing hits, not by dealing them.

Attack rankings

Sort by attack instead and you get a different lineup.

Rank Pal Attack Element
1 Bellanoir / Bellanoir Libero 150 Dark
3 Necromus 145 Dark
3 Neptilius 145 Water
5 Frostallion / Frostallion Noct / Jetragon 140 Ice / Dark / Dragon

The gap between first and fifth is only 10 points, dropping in steps of 5. Dark element dominates the raw attack chart, but plenty of enemies resist Dark, so pick your attacker by matchup rather than by this table alone. See best attacker per element for the element-by-element breakdown.

Defense and HP for tanks

For a front-line wall, sort by defense and HP.

Stat 1st place Runners-up
Defense Panthalus (200) Paladius (145), Tetroise Primo (140), Aegidron (140)
HP Panthalus (180) Mammorest (150), Mammorest Cryst (150), Wumpo (140)

Panthalus wins both. Its 200 defense stands well clear of the pack and holds up in fights you want to drag out.

The top number isn’t always the top pick

Raw stats are a starting point, not a strength ranking on their own.

Three things pull the actual result away from the chart. Move power varies even at equal attack; a 600-power move and an 800-power move differ by 30 percent per hit. Work suitability changes what a Pal is worth at your base (only 10 of 299 reach suitability level 8). And rolled passive skills can close a 10-or-20-point attack gap after the fact. See passive skills for what to look for there.

Even Bellanoir, top of the attack chart, loses a damage race against a lower-attack Pal that’s hitting a weakness. Use the stat tables as a starting filter, then narrow down by move and element from there. We cover team picks by game stage in our best Pals for the midgame and best Pals for the endgame guides.

You can look up attack, defense, HP, and learnable moves for any individual Pal on its Paldex page.

FAQ

Which Pal has the highest overall stats in Palworld?
Panthalus ranks first when you combine attack, defense, and HP, according to our Paldex data. Its 200 defense and 180 HP put it more than 50 points ahead of the second-place Pal. Its attack sits at a middling 120, though, so it works better as a wall than a damage dealer.
Which Pal has the highest attack stat?
Bellanoir and Bellanoir Libero share the top spot at 150 attack, both Dark element. Necromus and Neptilius follow at 145, and Frostallion, Frostallion Noct, and Jetragon tie at 140.
Which Pals have the highest defense and HP?
Panthalus tops both stats, with 200 defense and 180 HP. Paladius (145) and Tetroise Primo (140) follow on defense, and Mammorest and Mammorest Cryst tie at 150 HP. Start your tank search here.
Does raising a high-stat Pal make it the strongest?
Only halfway. Raw stats are a starting point, but move power, work suitability, and rolled passive skills change how a Pal performs in practice. Bellanoir, the top attacker on paper, still loses damage races against lower-attack Pals that hit a weakness.
