A Palworld player built a fully working yacht base on the water

Every so often r/Palworld turns into an open house. This time a player took v1.0’s new water building and used it to raise a full base shaped like a yacht — hull, cabins, workstations and all — floating on open water.

How the build works

The detail that surprised most of the thread is that you can build on water at all. According to the builder, it comes from an ancient technology you unlock around level 66, which lets you drop foundations on the water surface. The rest is standard base pieces stacked with a lot of patience. Because several late-game “ancient” workstations have a small footprint, the whole thing fits inside a single base radius — something more than one commenter had to look at twice.

The interior is where it turned into a property tour. The builder posted follow-up shots room by room: a main deck for most of the crafting, storage and a generator on the lowest level, and a hot-spring spa in the middle. People asked, only half joking, for a full build tutorial.

The one real problem: Pal pathing

Vertical, tightly packed bases run into Palworld’s oldest building headache — Pals refusing to climb narrow stairs. The builder’s fix was to lay out multiple routes so workers have more than one way up, while admitting that wider two-tile staircases are still the reliable option. When a Pal still can’t reach its station in the cramped hull, the running gag was to just accept that it’s “working from home.” If you have hit the same wall, the community’s broader advice on cramped bases mostly comes down to building up instead of out.

Will it ever sail?

The obvious question came up fast: can it actually move across the map? It can’t — bases are fixed. The builder leaned into it anyway, naming the boat “Treefeller” and pointing the bow squarely at the World Tree. A few people floated the idea that if enough players keep posting sea bases, Pocketpair might eventually add real boats. For now it’s a very convincing prop — and, as always, the reply section filled up with people insisting their own 3×3 stone box is the superior residence.
